Check out this Shellac Spray Seal collaboration with Complete Disaster Services!
We are proud to support fellow Home Improvement Contractors in and around Lancaster County in the service of our community. Here, Complete Disaster Services located in Mount Joy was hard at work restoring this home that went through a fire. Complete Disaster Services completed the structural cleaning, demolition, and mitigation phase. Lancaster Full Service Painting was brought in to perform the sealing stage of restoration using spray-applied shellac primer to permanently lock in odor and staining prior to reconstruction and finish painting.
Complete Disaster Services is a professional disaster recovery and property restoration company that specializes in helping residential and commercial property owners recover from unexpected damage events. Their services typically include fire and smoke damage mitigation, water damage cleanup and drying, mold remediation, structural cleaning, debris removal, and preparation of damaged buildings for reconstruction.
Lancaster Full Service Painting provided the structural sealing phase of the restoration by preparing the site for spray application and encapsulating all remaining smoke-damaged surfaces. The team carefully masked the newly installed windows and other protected areas to prevent overspray before applying a full shellac sealing coat to the existing damaged framing, drywall, and exposed structural surfaces. To maintain proper application conditions and indoor air quality during the process, Lancaster Full Service Painting operated air scrubbers and electric heaters to control temperature, airflow, and contaminant filtration. The shellac sealer was applied using a Titan Elite 3000 airless sprayer, allowing for fast, even coverage across large and irregular surfaces while ensuring the primer penetrated cavities and structural elements to lock in smoke odors and staining prior to reconstruction.
